To be honest with you I stopped making my own sugar motors for a
While now but I still have three left for my baby rocket.
Now I am building rockets and I love it.
Last time you saw me with a starchaser
At this point I only need a custom parachute for my third rocket.
Now for level 2 I want to go for full J design Grin

I have used some Fructose in candy-fuel, it also works fine, this you get from you local supermarket, in the department for heath-foods, I believe some people with blood-sugar problems use it. For other types of sugar talk to the ladies doing al those fancy stuff on the wedding cakes, they know about sugar. I find the Pharmacy’s expensive and use them only as a last resort. Happy cooking!

Dextrose works fine, I have tried. The missus lost her supply of glucose syrup as well. At some stage junior and I didn’t leave anything sweet alone (het tot die koeksister stroop laat verdwyn Grin

) , it just had to look like it contained sugar and we tried it. Eventually we came to the conclusion that how one makes the fuel seems to matters more than the type of sugar. The quality of the fuel has a lot in common with patients during the cooking process. We also got into the habit of letting the mixture cool down, then reheating it in a pre heated oven. This seems to enhance the dough like texture of the fuel. During the casting process we also grew into the habit of exerting some force on the moulded grain, for a few seconds, this is to ensure that no cracks formed. We haven’t had any cracked grains since. Moms “spray and cook” also come in handy to prevent sticking of fuel in the mould.
