Hi Walter,
proper chemicals are expensive. I moved away from sugar-based propellants some time ago. They are difficult to make, store and can be very unpredictable.
The resin-based propellants I now make have better structural properties, is cast at room temperature, is not affected by humidity and can be stored for years without being vacuum-sealed.
The cost is higher than sugar-based propellants but substantially lower than APCP. Here are a few prices for the reloads we sell. Each reload contains the fuel, liner, igniter, o-rings and ejection charges:
38mm
H-R50
I-R85
51mm
I-R100
Mid_J-R150
Full_J-R200
76mm
K-R400
You can compare these prices to the AeroTech or similar propellants and you'll be amazed at what they cost! A K-reload can cost as much as R2500!
