Hi everyone!
On the
10th of October 2009, SAASA will be hosting the annual
World Space Week Rocket Launch day at the
Sasolburg launch site. For directions visit
www.rocketry.co.za and click on the next launch day info link.
Everyone is welcome to attend. There will be a lot of Rockets of all shapes and sizes.
We will kick off the day with a few HPR launches and give the small rocketeers a chance to launch their Model Rockets. There will be several large/complex projects to see like Donovan's Level 3 project and even a Rocket with airstarts!
The day will have TV coverage like we had on the 10th of August. Several Radio stations will also talk about the launch day.
If you are planning to launch a rocket on the day, please let us know by no later than the 30 of September. You may register on the day, but you will have to wait for an opening in the launch schedule.
Please note that
experimental motors will be allowed at the launch but only after the commercial motor flights have been completed.
I look forward to seeing you on the day!
Kind regards
Johann Grobler
